Actually, your neocon hero is not going to be able to dodge the bullet on his administration's failure. It was bad enough they abdicated control of...

Dumb butt. Nice try at obfuscation. You defeatists are getting infamous for that kind of bullpoo. If Dallas has 2000, it stands to reason New Orleans has a comparable number. I verified that Dallas has over 2000 by looking it up on their web site. If you want to verify numbers, do your own homework. It's probabaly too much of a challenge for a defeatist like you, though. If the buses were running on Friday back and forth to schools, they would be readily available on Saturday. Not much on logic, are you? Yet another typical characteristic of defeatists.

No. Not all on Sunday morning. Starting Saturday morning, and running all the way through Sunday night.

What part of "emergency" don't you understand? When it comes to saving lives, you do what you have to do. You improvise. You apply ingenuity. You think outside of the box. With people like you around, no wonder tens of thousands of people were left to die. Not ony can you not think outside the box, you're just about as dumb as a box of rocks.

No, dumb butt. Where do you get off saying it had to be done on Sunday afternoon? Voluntary evacution was called for on SATURDAY morning.

I guess no one will ever know, because buttholes like you were around who wouldn't even ASK for volunteers.

Well, it is pretty obvious that your defeatist mind set of sitting around doing nothing sure created a made for TeeVee disaster drama of biblical proportions. 48 hours is not a "few hours". There was 48 hours to organize an evacuation. Out of a city of 1.3 million there were bound to be enough volunteers to drive. Not everyone is a defeatist like you. Some people actually step up to the plate when asked, especially when it is to save lives.

Maybe. But the buses were running. Out of 1.3 million people there was bound to be at least a few hundred that could and would drive a bus load of people out.

How stupid are you? It's been all over the news that no attempt was made to evacuate the people who did not have the means to leave on their own. Chertoff got his butt raked over the coals just this morning about the lack of evacuation efforts. It is not rocket science to load people on buses and drive them out of town. There was 48 hours available to get the job done.

BZZZZZZZZTTTTTTTTT. WRONG. MANDATORY evacuation on Sunday. VOLUNTARY evacuation on Saturday. Pretty clear indication the government knew evacuation was necessary to save lives. Plenty of time to organize an effort to get the people out who didn't have the means to leave on their own.

I don't imagine heroics. I expect some kind of responsible action from some level of government to mitigate the loss of life in the face of what was known to be a pending disaster. You DO have a defeatist mind set. So do the supposed leaders of government at all levels who made no attempt, who apparently didn't even think about coordinating an evacuation effort.

Oh, baloney. You can't get it through your thick skull that government failed to lift a finger to mitigate loss of life with at least 48 hours advance notice of impending disaster. If the government had been as eager to make a preemptive strike in New Orleans as they had been in Iraq, the magnitude of aftermath wouldn't have been a fraction of what it is. Start dealing with the reality that we have a government that has squandered billions of dollars for so-called homeland security and emergency preparedness, gone to feather the nests of corrupt politicians, while Americans are left to die in the streets and the only help they will get is from the generosity of their fellow Americans, whose pockets have already been picked clean by the same corrupt government officials sending jobs overseas with NAFTA and CAFTA and allowing wages to be depressed by importing millions of illegal aliens and cheap third world labor. Why don't YOU stop living in your world of make-believe, believing we still have any semblance of legitimate government.

Nice evasion. I buttume from your mornoic responses that you are one of the do-nothing corrupted politicians?

Baloney. The studies were already done several years ago. The government knew what would happen. I heard on the news this morning that the report outlining what would happen has been sitting on Bush' desk for several years. Not to mention previous history of devastation in New Orleans from a CAT3. The government knew damned good and well what was going to happen.

YOU do the freaking math. Voluntary evacuation was ordered on Saturday. That pretty much says the stinking government knew what was going to happen, you idiot.

And you're a defeatist.

Yeah. That was obviously real effective as demonstrated by people without food and water for five days. Have you ever seen anybody drive a bus load of people out of a city?

Oh, yeah. They are in Dallas, Houston and San Antonio right NOW. They started arriving less than 8 hours after the buses were loaded in New Orleans, and have been arriving regularly ever since. But logistically, it just isn't possible. You're a f***ing idiot. And a defeatist.

So maybe it was still a few thousand. That would have been better than tens of thousands. Jesus breasts. How do you even manage to get out of bed in the morning with such a defeatist mind set?

You are in denial. You can't get it through your thick skull that the government failed in its responsibility to protect and defend.

How DO you manage to get out of bed in the mornings knowing so fully well that you are defeated before you even open your eyes?

Yes there was time. The evacuation started on Saturday morning. There was two days to get people out of there, including the infirm.

It could have been done in the 48 hour notice given. Certainly the vast majority of them could have been evacuated in the 48 hours notice given.

YES you are a defeatist. Sure, it was a daunting task. And defeatist mentality like yours said "we won't even bother because it would just be too difficult to make an attempt."

It completely escapes you that they would have had hot meals and showers a week ago if the defeatists had not decided it was just too difficult to haul them out of New Orleans on Saturday before the storm hit. Gawd. You are dense. Tell me... what political office do you hold? You're bound to be a politician of some kind. Only politicians are as dense and defeatist as you are.

Oooops, but yes you are a defeatist. The same questions were being asked on Face the Nation and Roundtable this morning. The government, particularly the Boosh administration, is going to be raked over the coals BIG TIME for making the same kind of ignorant buttertions you keep insisting on making. They are predicting the entire Republican party is going to be in the tank over the irresponsible prepartion and lack of response in New Orleans. Somebody interviewed Chertoff, and he is crab walking on the issue of evacuation, trying like hell to keep his job. The fall out has only just begun.

There is no excuse for the obscenity of leaving people to die. None. Those winds that blew Katrina ashore were the winds of change. Somebody is going to be held accountable for not getting those people out of there. You can bank on it.

I have no faith in government. It has long been my contention that we have no legitimate government. One has to look no further than our border with Mexico and 20 million illegal aliens to recognize that the United States has been existing in a state of anarchy for decades.

I do admit I would have expected the aristocrats to at least keep up the illusion that we have a legitimate government. As tragic as it has been, maybe in the larger scheme it is a good thing, destroying once and for all the illusion that we have a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Undoubtedly a few more million Americans have been awakened to the fact that we don't have a legitimate government. There is no excuse for those people being left there to die. Watch the outrage escalate as the rest toll mounts.

You know, they were reporting on the news this morning that just about everyone had finally been evacuated. They didn't put any serious effort into getting people out of there until Friday. Don't you find it rather contradictory that they were able to get the same number of people out after the fact, in the same amount of time that they had to get those same people out before the storm hit? It just isn't logistically possible, my butt. Nobody even tried to get them out. Lack of response in the first days just added insult to injury.

How long are you going to remain in denial that the government left people to die in the streets of America? They damned sure managed to get just about every last soul out of the same area that was completely devastated in the same 48 hours they had to get them out before the place was flooded and leveled. How dense can you possibly be???? THEY HAD TIME. THEY HAD MONEY. THEY HAD RESOURCES. You big dumb butt. I guess your stupid butt will reelect the same batch of crooks who will leave you to die in the street when it is your turn to face disaster.

It's obvious that more could have been done with pack mules and smoke signals than a stinking government that does NOTHING.

Dumb butt? How have *I* obfuscated anything in the above? Please point to a single note...

Japan got a handle on evacuations that obviously save lives back in the 40's. Amazing what can be accomplished by a government that actually gives a damn about the people they govern instead of just lining their pockets with gold.

Even Jamaica did a better job of implementing emergency procedures for their citizens before Hurricane Ivan last year than the US did for Katrina.

Apparently the president of the Philippines thinks more highly of their citizens than the president of the United States thinks of Americans. "So we want a mbuttive evacuation," she told reporters after convening the National Disaster Coordinating Council in Malaca–ang. "We're asking the LGEs local government executives to have a mbuttive evacuation of all those who live on slopes beyond 18 degrees, which are planted to copra and agricultural products. After that we will have to change what they plant."

The President said she had issued the instructions but would call up each local government executive to ensure a "zero casualty count."

There is absolutely no excuse for what happened in New Orleans. None.
