Matthew Russotto Yeah, I know. That's got nothing to do with the timing of the MANDATORY evac proclamation, which did not happen until SUNDAY. The one-way northbound order helped get...

Lets Roll

Of course it made a big difference! Who is worshipping government? I'm denouncing government. Government supposedly exists to protect and serve. Government collects citizen money through taxes...

You cannot count. Form Saturday mornign to when the storm hit Sunday night is not 48 hours. 48 hours would take you into Monday midmorning, the height of the storm. Learn to count before posting.

You now are in agreement with me. Why don't you stop while you're correct?

Again you are pure and simply wrong. The city is STILL not evacuated as I write this at 4:33 pm Mountain Time Monday ... I am watching CNN and there are still thousands of people in the flooded areas. Tuesday through Sunday, as I said to you in another post, is NOT 48 hours. It's more like 144 hours. And they're STILL not done evacuating. Get with the current news, bub.

BWAHAHHAAAAA!! In your dreams. How do you suppose this would have been arranged in a matter of hours?

Idiot. Working with what is REAL is not defeatism. Your fantasy would have resulted in thousands more watered on street corner marshaling points waiting for buses that would never come. Fool.

The plain and simple fact is that 1.3 million people could NEVER have been fully evacuated from that area in the time frame allowed. You must plan for better post-event response to save lives. People died NOT in the storm as much as in the AFTERMATH during the time your beloved gummint authorities, who in your limitless trust you thought could commandeer thousands of buses in a few hours Sunday, nevertheless failed to deliver even a single hot dog or water bottle to the Superdome for three f***in' days. These are the folks you said could have evacuated the city? Gimme a large break here, son. They can't even act timely when they KNOW the extent of the problem.

Ooops, wrong again. 48 hours later, it was the eye of the storm over NO. Haven't you heard? Hurricanes are BIG things and the leading edges (thunderstorms, winds, torrential rains) PRECEDE the eye making landfall. You can stop now with the 48 hours.

See irrefutable denial of our error already written above.

Because if cannot physically be accomplished with the resources on hand. It would take many days to fully pull out everybody, especially the most at risk in hospitals, nursing homes, etc.

Still wrong, no matter how many times you type it. As of now, Monday afternoon and more than 144 hours after the storm's exit, they are STILL getting people out.

Nope.
