A Nearly T boned

Mobile Phone Idiot
I really couldn't believe how dangerous this driver was. He decided to take a phone call on a twisty NSL road, just after a very dangerous bend, but that's not it...

on 06-02-2006 19:17 Harry Bloomfield said the following: There must be something in the air, I had a similar incident earlier today:- At a roundabout on a DC I wanted to turn right onto a minor road. I pulled into L2 and, seeing the roundabout to be clear, started round it with my right turn indicator on. As I was at about the 10 o'clock position I saw an old Rover 90 (with an equally ancient 'driver') in L1 of the oncoming DC travelling at about 20mph towards the roundabout. Alarm bells rang within me and were not wrong. The 'driver' continued in a straight line across the give way line and onto L2 of the roundabout, still at 20mph and apparently oblivious to anything else around him. I hit brakes, horn and headlamp flasher and stopped a few feet short of him. This must have been the first time he had noticed me since his reaction (after what seemed a very long delay) was to panic and jam on his brakes, stopping half way across L1 and L2 at the roundabout exit! No doubt he is one of the 'I've been driving for 90 years and never had and accident, just caused loads of them, brigade. -- ;-) Frank Turner-Smith - mine's a pint.
