Conor was thinking very hard : Then we can agree on something then :-) It was just the way you seem to portray your skills as being absolute and perfect. That is...

Root cause of some accidents: something completely out of the blue and pretty well impossible to anticipate.

Example: the deer that leapt out from a hedge right in front of my car one morning. Luckily (for me, though not the deer) I and the car were OK, but a fraction of a second later, and it could have been through my windscreen. How was I meant to acticipate that? It couldn't be seen from where it was "hiding" in the hedge. If I always drove in a manner which would make me safe from sudden deer appearances, I'd be driving everywhere at 10mph.

Similarly, some idiots occasionally emerge from driveways without even slowing down, even when the entrance is obscured by walls-hedges-fences right up to the road-front. Again, you'd have to drive at a crawl if you were to guarantee being able to stop in all such cases.

Admit it, poo happens. Thankfully for you, it hasn't happened for you yet. But it may one day, and there's damn all you will be able to do about it when it does. Granted, there are ways to minimise the chances, but eliminate them, impossible.
