I used to think state cops were smarter than normal cops. I mean, the state cops in Illinois have to have a bachelors degree before acceptance into the state police training academy. One would think that simple logic would be common.
Apparently not.
I don't know about other people, but I would think that a cop who was interested in catching seat belt violators would realize that having a sign, as large as the cop standing next to it, telling people that this is a seat belt safety check station, would result in the majority of people making sure their seat belts are in place.
Apparently not.
So I have to sit in a traffic jam for 20 minutes, wondering what the hell the problem is, just because I happened to drive through Kankakee today. It would appear that the cops in this state feel it is appropriate to stop every car on the entrance ramp to see if they are using their seat belts. One would think that it would not be necessary to stop every car, have them open their window, and explain to them that the reason they are here is to check for seat belts.
Apparently not.
So once said moron, I mean cop, tells you the reason, he waves you on. Now, I would think that this buttinine activity would result in nothing more than just wasting the time of everyone attempting to exercise their right to drive freely without having their consbreastutional rights violated. That since everyone can clearly see the sign ahead, and since the graduate of stupid-cop-university is too retarded to look at any car but the one he is in front of, that there would be nobody to actually ticket.
Apparently not.
So, while the stupidest cop award must surely go to this retard, some other more deserving reward must go to the people pulled over as a result of this invasion of our rights. No matter what they ended up getting pulled over for, their rights were violated by having to have their cars inspected due to the liberals in this state pbutting laws to violate the rights granted by our consbreastution.
