I'm not sure I see the connection?

I'd probably find it a bit spooky.

Don't get me wrong - I get the whole travelling at similar speeds, and I use cruise control quite a lot on the motorway - so I understand that sometimes cars can be travelling at very similar speeds, in the vicinity of each other.

But Adrian mentioned specifically selecting and tailing a car. Were I the subject car driver, it wouldn't take me long to notice. And I'd likely think you were either police or oddball.

Either way, I'd not want the car to be shadowing me for any period, and I'd either slow, and hopefully get the car to pbutt, or if I thought I cold safely do so put a bit of distance between me and the other car.

I do drive (mostly) at a pretty constant speed, becuase I drive on motorways, daily, and tend to use cruise control. So don't get me wrong, merely having cars around me doing very similar speeds isn't particularly troubling, being aware, or suspecting that a car driver had specificallly selected my car, and was shadowing me would seem odd, after a little bit. As I said, I'd suspect it to be either police, or some oddball stalker - and I'd take action to break the link.

In this day and age, it's hard to be sure why somebody is interested in following you, and I'd rather not take the chance, or be subject of it.

You may find it flattering, I'd be wondering why.
