Annoyances! 5245might I think I'd be a little curious about any driver that approached then slowed down to match my speed. I understand...
Annoyances! 5246I must have missed that statement or implication. No, I don't "target" anyone, but occasionally find myself in sync with another driver. Sorry for any confusion. Very. Even more so if...
With little else around, perhaps. I'm not sure I've always noticed how exactly I have come to be travelling at more or less the same pace as another driver and have ended up in some sort of convoy with them. I might well be anxious about a following driver who approached at a noticeable speed and then matched mine. But it would depend on where they sat and how closely they followed me. There is a noticeable tendency amongst middle-lane drivers to bleed off speed once they have caught someone up and then sit behind or alongside them, for example.
Maybe not.
Car-jacking on a motorway must be extremely rare, and would need at least two other vehicles. Besides, no one in their right mind would be after my car ;-)
Perhaps it wasn't entirely clear from earlier posts (and not speaking for others), but I was discussing a situation where I am driving "in convoy" with another vehicle, and *using all the lanes as appropriate*. Not simply shadowing someone mindlessly plodding up L2, for example. Spotting other good and considerate drivers on the road is quite rare. It would be a shame if any sense of camaraderie that resulted was always deflated by suspicion.
