I think I'd be a little curious about any driver that approached then slowed down to match my speed.

I understand you can end up in the same vicinity as drivers driving at the same speed - but the original post I started to reply to, specifically mentioned deliberately selecting a driver car, then tailing it. It was more this targetted thing, really, that I was questioning.

And you have fair points - some people may be comfortable with this, and actually like it. I was merely striving to point out that some may not.

Unless I was glued to the middle lane myself, though, it's hardly likely to concern me. Unless...

Which is what I don't get - some people will pbutt you, then almost immediately slow and match your speed - so I may be driving in the inside lane, and numpty MLOC approaches, then slows and drives slap bang alongside - how annoying is that?

I guess that's all I wanted to point out - the post I originally replied to specifically mentioned selecting a car and tailing it - that could be quite disconcerting, that's all.

They can all seem to combine together, though. MLOC driver plodding along, up pops another one and keeps him company. Almost sounds like a nursery rhyme... ;-)

The OLOC are a little more focussed - quite often they get themselves in all sorts of tussles as one doesn't want to give way, or does, then wants back in front.

They're all as bad as each other, if you ask me - what's so wrong with moving back to the left-most lane when it's clear to do so?

Well I guess opinions vary. If you like that sort of thing, and others appreciate - then no harm, no foul. I guess I was merely striving to point out that some people won't get it, and may well find it a little uncomfortable, not to mention distracting.
