In no particular order
1. Driving with front fog lights on when there absolutely is no need.
2. Rear fog lights as above.
3. Drivers who fail to give proper indications of their intentions, especially on motorways and roundabouts.
Annoyances! 5243it, and of fellow I can see how you might think that. But I just find that the roads are becoming more hostile places. I'm not so OTT as you might think...
4. Drivers who needlessly hog the overtaking lanes.
5. Drivers who park and leave their headlights on, particularly when stopped on the wrong side of the road. Remember it is usual to aim to keep to the left of vehicle front lights at night and if you are parked on the wrong side the left might well be off the road.
Annoyances! 5242which connection? can I'm not sure I see the connection? I'd probably find it a bit spooky. Don't get me wrong - I get the whole travelling at similar speeds...
6. Drivers with no intention of overtaking who follow a slow moving vehicle in front of them far too close, then flash you because you have dared to overtake.
7. Drivers who know the quiet unlit country road so well that they can drive it blindfold and just to prove it drive on dip beam at a crawl, thus depriving any else of the opportunity to overtake them 1.
Remember just because you have driven the road for forty years in the dark without a problem before, that this time there might just be an unlit broken down vehicle just round the next corner. Also the guy following you might want to travel just a little faster, but due to your dipped headlights cannot see very far ahead of you to choose a safe place to overtake. Main beam also gives a much better warning of your approach to drivers on side roads and drivers coming towards you. Please use main beam at every reasonable opportunity, if not for your own safety, then for the safety of others attempting to share the road with you.
1 I followed two such drivers this evening at 30 to 40 on a fast unlit country roads on a 150+mph bike, but had to hold back unecessarily due to poor visibility beyond the pool of their dipped headlights. If I were to put my main beam on behind you in order to see the road ahead, then you would be dazzled. If you don't like me following you and want me out of your mirror - then please put your main beam on so I can see safely past you to enable me to overtake.

Annoyances! 5241Hasn't he? Personally, I think he should. In terms of social decency. Ie on city streets (which I hate driving on), I would prefer to...
