Actually, the mythbusters claimed that the drivers failed the test at .07 and .075. So they were implying that driving almost drunk is dangerous. But I'm not even sure I can agree with THAT conclusion. The driving test was pretty severe, covering some "skills" that the average driver might not use in AN ENTIRE LIFETIME. For example, how many times do you negotiate a series of turns trying to get from point a to point b in exactly X number of seconds? Note I'm not talking about timing of an entire trip, but specifically timing a few CURVES during your trip? Oh, and if you are off by a few seconds (either way) in the curves, you failed the test. That would be tough to do while sober. :) In any case, it wouldn't apply to (for example) driving to work or picking up the kids from school, or even driving home from the bar. So I don't see how getting through a series of curves a few seconds faster or slower could be considered "dangerous". Yet that was one criteria that was used to determine that talking on a cell phone (or driving almost drunk) was dangerous. -Dave
