Do you know what "decriminalised" means? Have you asked the council to reinforce the pavement and provide adequate parking where it is obviously required? So you'd be happy with...

Whatever. Parking on double yellow lines, parking on pavements; I'm sure you know what I mean.

Blocking the pavements and causing extensive damage to them, for a start.

Everyone gets benefit from schools (society needs educated people), the fire service and libraries. Subsidising a car park is like subsidising a yacht marina. Nobody forced you to buy a car. There is every reason to expect you to pay its costs.

I merely stated a fact.

So? As you concede the previous buttertions, it is clear this is no burden. It is obviously cheap at the price.

Hardly. Those who wish to use the roads for non-motoring reasons have not had the same consideration. Also, please explain who these "citizens" are. So far as I know, in the UK we remain subjects of the Crown. This is not a republic.

Such as? Do you imagine there are any? Poor baby!!

Shouldn't no constraints be the goal?

We're not far from that now, and it kills well over 3000 people a year, injures many more and keeps most people too scared to use the roads unless they are in a big metal cage.

Wow! Something we agree on.
