The pavement is not a car park; the highway is not a stabling yard.

Anyone who buys a car has no reason to expect any help from public funds or resources, any more than you would expect a grant of land because you bought a garden shed.

FFS. Where do you get this bollox?

Matt B You are being an arse. What is needed is an explanation of "validity" in the...

There were many more shops before most people started driving to out-of-town supermarkets etc. You are completely illogical.

No it isn't it is to raise revenue. So why don't they tax the use of fats high in polyunsaturates in the...

Why would lower house prices be a bad thing? What are you on about?

I must say I, think you have a very

I have no problem with people's desires and aspirations.

It is the normal understanding of how people should be responsible for the things they do and the choices they make. In what way is it bigotted to expect motorists to be treated like anybody else? snip FFS; where does that come from? Are you a professional irrationalist with a specialism in non-sequiters, or merely a gifted amateur?

The lack of consideration and protection afforded to non-motorists is perfectly evident and well-attested. It is cited by most respondents whenever surveys are done to find out why people are reluctant to cycle, walk or take horses on roads, and again when surveys are done to find out why parents will not let their children play outdoors or make their own way to school. References to law & HC will not buttist without going into detail about such law is actually applied and the outcomes of it. It would also be more useful to discuss at length town planning and national transport policies, but life is short.

To give just one excellent example, however, we have the seatbelt law. This protects occupants of cars. Such evidence as there is shows it does not, though, protect society as a whole. What it does is transfer the risk from those in the vehicle, who perceive they are safer and can drive with less care, to those outside it. The total numbers end and injured does not change much, but they are cyclists and pedestrians, not motorists.

There's not one of those fits your description, and the last one is only in your imagination.

Now you're talking. Let's go back to the days when each motor vehicle was preceded by a man walking with a red flag.

and look forward to their full

It'll not take long to repeal nothing.
