This is one good reason why one should *not* signal a right turn at a red light until...
A. The light turns green, then signal and make the right turn; or
B. The lane is suitably clear for one to be comfortable enough to make the turn and accelerate up to speed, without getting tailgated or risking being rear-ended. When that occurs, of course, then signal and make the right turn.
Until either A or B occurs, it's a good idea just to remain stopped at the red light, as if one was not going to turn at all.
Additionally, the person who had the road rage problem--the woman honking her horn and yelling "Go!! Go!!"--has nothing at all to do with the fact that the driver was an Asian female, and that road rage problem driver more than likely does that to any driver who does not turn when she wants them to turn, regardless of their culture or gender.

(And the really clueless road rage problem drivers are the ones that honk at people stopped at No Right Turn On Red lights... what part of No Right Turn On Red is so hard for them to understand?)
