Auto insurance settlement

Physics Question 4232
Personally I'd choose option C... Pull out to the right and up onto the curb, or pull out to the left onto the 'wrong' side of the road-do a U...

I'm sure many people have had the problem of being told "you car is totaled, we'll only pay you $loveX dollars, use it to buy another car that's the same".

Has anyone ever come back at their insurance company and said, "Great, since $loveX is enough to buy the equivalent car, call me when you find one, drive it to my house so I can check it out, and if it's OK we can settle." It seems highly unfair to me that even if you buttume that the $loveX is actually enough to buy another like car, you still have to spend time and effort looking for one. Can you make them find one for you or alternatively make them pay you for the time you spend, and the expenses, finding one on your own?

The closest thing I had to this was when some hubcaps were stolen of my almost new car. They told me they would only pay for used ones and gave me a cost they got from some book of hubcap prices (used). I called a couple places that sold used hubcaps and no one had any. After wasting an hour or two on this I called the insurance guy and told him there weren't any used ones I could find and I was not going to waste anymore time and for him to find some and call me back. He said he'd get back to me and eventually they agreed to pay the cost of a brand new set from the dealer. But that was chump change, I"m wondering if you could play this hand on the entire car???? -- New service to compete with paypal Get $25 pre-registration bonus by following this link www.greenzap.com-25smackers4u
