Of course I can think of scenarios where it would be dangerous to have both hands off the wheel, but that still leaves other scenarios where it *would* be safe to have both hands off the wheel for a brief period.
It certainly could be if they chose to do it at the wrong time, but this is where judgement comes in, and you are beginning to sound as if your judgement may not always be particularly good. If you can not reliably identify times when you can relax some of the rules a little, then it is best that you do drive according to the book at all times.

No it would not be a good idea, but inventing a scenario like that is mere silliness on your part Ray. Try reading what I said and then take a rational view of it. That will not necessarily lead you to agree with me, but foolish exaggerations from you are certainly no help.
So far I have always credited you with conducting these discussions in a calm and balanced manner. Please can we return to that?
