Okay, if you can't take Conor seriously, how about answering me:
You advocate that police should not pursue a vehicle that runs from them, right? So what should they do instead to bring them to justice? Anything?
When answering - if indeed you do - do bear in mind that the police will likely have no idea *why* the pursuee is running; it could be no insurance, it could be a drug dealer, it could be an armed robber, or it could be a mbutt liquidateer with all his trophy bodyparts in the boot. Should they buttume they're running because they've late with their library book?
BBC1 Traffic Cops 51Ed Chilada I think you brought it in with you. I have yet to see a long drawn out thread where there is...
And finally, how much stick do you think the police would come into from the public and media alike, when their refusal to pursue fleeing vehicles sends a clear message to all the snot nosed little oiks that they now have free reign to nick a car and turn every street into a real life Playstation game with zero chance of being caught, and therefore no legal consequence, 1 while all the police can do is point a speed camera at them?
1 - Not that there's much of a consequence nowadays anyway.
