Two tall buildings that came crumbling down? 6000 Americans end? Hundreds of thousands laid off?
I didn't know any of the 500,000 end in that tsunami either.... so it wasn't a catastrophe.
What a moron.
Yep, it's all Clinton's fault. If it weren't for his fiscally responsible spending, we would've nabbed those 19 men with boxcutters.
Or if Dumbya hadn't waited till a day after 9-11 to meet with his Anti-Terrorism expert for the first time, who had warned him of Al-Qaeda's planned attacks for 8 months.... if he had, he would've known that the FBI was well aware of the hijackers enrolled in flight schools.
Nah, that can't be it, it's all Clinton's fault! If he hadn't gotten that blowjob, 9-11 would've never happened!
WRONG.
Crude oil is a speculative commodity. There's no shortages, but if some believe there will be in the future, it will drive up prices. Instability in the Middle East, especially war can definately contribute to this speculation.
I would bet that we have rebuilt
WRONG.
Since early 2003, OPEC Member Countries have significantly increased production by more than 4.5 million barrels per day.
WRONG.
The real reasons behind the increase:
1. After 9-11, Bush developed a plan to fill the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR), a 700 million bbl. store meant to sustain the U.S. in an
emergency. Last year only 40 million bbl. were added to the SPR. This action alone drove up prices by adding to the demand for oil. An independent analyst says that had Bush not acted, oil would be selling for just $28 per bbl. instead of its current price of over $50 per bbl.
and gas would be under $1.50-gal. The government oil-buying binge has not even increased the supply of available oil since most of the petroleum added to the SPR was bought from private refiners, which have
not replenished their stocks because of high prices.
2. Bush's continued opposition to congressionally mandated increases in
BUSH IS HELPING THE OIL CARTELS GETTING RICHER 3036Yep, lowest in 30+ years. Yep, especially among minorities and lower income demographics where the statistic is even more promising since those people are building equity now. A very good thing! Amazing, is more the...
fuel economy. Raising fuel-economy standards by just 1 mile a gallon would cut U.S. oil consumption by 143 million barrels a year, or 16 days of imports, and save motorists $9 billion, the Environmental Protection Agency estimates.
3. Bush's tax loophole allowing small business owners to deduct up to $100,000 for purchasing the heaviest, least fuel-efficient SUVs. The group "Taxpayers for Common Sense" estimates that the SUV tax loophole costs government between $840 million and $987 million for every 100,000 vehicles sold.
Sure, Clinton was president in 2001-2004 when manufacturers laid off the greatest number of workers in recent memory.
Yeah, if Iraq is any indication, we are very popular with the world. Just look at how many of our allies rushed to our aid: Canada, Mexico, Germany, Russia, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Greece, Austria..... ooops, no they didn't. They instead CONDEMNED the war.
