AND....
A good driver isn't one who focuses slavishly on a few selected laws. The art of being a good driver is awareness of the other drivers and HELPING them. Situational awareness and courtesy. Anticipating that someone is going to need to get over and anticipating it. f*** this "because I can" or even "because it's legal" atbreastude. When you give up a few seconds of your life to let someone make a lane change they need, you are making the world a better place.
When I'm driving on the open interstate, I always anticipate the people in the right lane who are coming up on a slower vehicle. And try to either pbutt them before they need to get over or slow down a bit so they have a window. And yes, occbuttionally, it's an idiot who then pbuttes the slower vehicle by going 2 mph faster and clogging the pbutting lane. (People, when you're pbutting, Pbutt, much more important to do a safe and crisp pbutt than worry about the number on your speedometer.) And it sucks and it peees me off, but I'm on this planet to make it a better place, not to add to the rage.
And yes, I drive fast sometimes. But I never tailgate and I pbutt cleanly and I try to help my fellow drivers, faster and slower. And I NEVER tailgate. If I'm speeding but giving wide berth to other vehicles, than I'm only a danger to myself (and not much of one). Collision avoidance is the prime directive.
