Bikes! 2220

Jim Yanik

Well, you are badly mistaken. The width of the spectrum of cyclists far exceeds that of motorists. As lax as driving standards are in the US you still at least have to go to the trouble of heading down to the DMV and get licensed well, most of us anyways. Riding a bike requires nothing more than a bike. We all probably rode bikes as a kid with no clue about traffic laws. Some of us grew up and continued to ride and soon realized that if we wanted to survive and get anywhere on our bikes we'd better pay attention to traffic and traffic laws. There is a major, major difference between someone who spends 500 or 600 hours a year riding around on their bike, as opposed to joe loser that can't afford a car riding off to his job as a dishwasher.

You could try grinning and bareing it. But dont have to be if that becomes unviable. Mindlessly...

Nothing elite about the comment but an attempt to show that everyone riding a bike is not cut out of the same mold. Motorists by and large try to group cyclists in one large pot. It simply is not the way things are.

Well, we need to realize that fossil fuels are used (HEAVILY) in the production of food. If the thought of $10-gallon...

At 3 bucks a gallon for gas I expect you'll see this subset start to grow significantly.
