Bloody joke. uU|G*dfHK8Zr48I merely call a space a spade. What is said was unambiguous. No, it's a standard game on u.r.d. It doesn't matter what the topic is, as soon as anyone makes any...
Well, the RoSPA, IAM and driving instructer side of me wants to agree, yet an understanding of how the average driver thinks, doesn't. Your average driver will go reasonable happy through the 30 limit until they get to the bit of road that widens, the houses disappear and sitelines improve. They will natuarally buttume the limit has increased and their speed may drift up as a result. Poor observation maybe, but as the limit there used to be 40mph, a reasonable speed for the conditions.
Of course, they will get over the bridge and see another 30mph sign and think, "poo, I thought the limit was higher over the bridge". Even without another limit sign, their speed will probably drop again when they get to the houses and the road narrows, as a response to the changing conditions.
I am not excusing this lax atbreastude to what goes on outside the car, but that is how so many people drive. So, getting them with a radar on the widest bit of the road at a speed that is quite acceptable for the conditions, seems pointless to me - your certainly not going to improve police relations.
