You see yourself as an individual driver, with a specific need in mind; to make a safe left turn. I see the car in front of me (evben if it's you) as only one individual part of the driving public. And even you have to admit that that that driving public is, as a whole, not very good at driving skillfully. Given the number of drivers who pull off to the right so they can make a U-turn, those who leave their lane because the CD dropped to the floor, those who pull over for who knows what reason then open the driver's door into the traffic lane, those who are just tired and want a rest and open the door to get out, and all the others who pull over for God-knows-why, yes, it makes me wary when people pull over for no discernable reason. You cite your experience for doing what you do, but refuse to accept the fact that others have had bad experiences when people do what you do: leave the normal lane of traffic for no discernable reason. Then you compound this by telling us that somehow your right turn signal is more visible than your left one. If it is, then maybe you should fix the left one.
