Why is turning on your right turn signal any better than turning on your left turn signal?

Yes, it does. As I said, when people do things out of the ordinary for no discernable reason, I wonder what they will do next; make a U-turn, open a door, pull back in traffic while I'm pbutting them?
Not at all. If I am to drive in a safe fashion, I must be abkle to predict what other drivers will do. I *can not* buttume that are all rational people, doing things with a rational reason. Experience tells me (and you) otherwise. If this were not so, you would not be doing what you describe, right?
