Bill Funk
Nice snip out of concept and tracing it back it is YOU who said it, not me.
Yep, they see me pulling legally onto the shoulder with my signals going. Wow, what a concept. If that bothers them, they can turn in their driver's license.
Trying to put your words into my mouth again? If you read it again, you will see that I didn't dignify it with an answer.

Bone head of the day 1838Bill Funk It isn't about visibility of turn signals. It is about not causing rear-enders either into me or a car or two back who can't see the signals at all. How...
If there's nothing for you to do on the right side of the road, the natural question in another driver's mind will be, "WTF??" And, why do you think your right turn signal is more visible than your left turn signal? Why do you think your described maneuver will somehow be visible while a left turn won't be? Do you think about this at all??

Well if you are driving behind me you can predict that I am 'pulling off on the shoulder and stopping'. All your hand waving doesn't change that. As for taking care when I see someone signalling, yes, I watch to see 'what' they are doing, I don't bother wondering 'why' - the why is immaterial to me and should be to you too. All that is of concern is what the action -is-.
You have dug yourself into a hole trying to say that legally pulling onto the shoulder causes problems for people following. By extension -any- signal I make would worry you, be it left turn, right turn, brake light, whatever.
Bone head of the day 1836Bill Funk Well Bill if you are going to continue lying about who said what and keep insisting that pulling onto the right shoulder is somehow a problem you are right. I...
At the end of the day, my way is the safest way to make a left turn for me and also for almost all my neighbors. We all do it.
