No, it comes from the post where you threatened to plonk me due to my comments about lawyers. See, when I say that there are lawyers who are buttholes, and you choose to interpret as if I am saying all of you are, you are defining the standards by which I have to judge you. IE my point that you must believe all lawyers are perfect and better than us common folk.

I am glad to hear that you are that among the group of people we call lawyers some of them are idiots. I have no reason to believe you are in that group, especially given your admitting that there are bad ones, so I will cut the crap that led to your current response.

No, it is not the fault of the people who own guns. Responsible gun owners don't think it is acceptable for criminals to own guns. They and I (since I am not a gun owner) want honest civilians to be able to carry BECAUSE it reduces and frequently ELIMINATES armed criminals. There is plenty of evidence of same.

When I was in school a number of years ago, I took an advanced speech clbutt. I decided to choose topics that I felt very strongly about, such as gun control. I believed guns should be outlawed, because I was sick of hearing about criminals killing people.

Guess what. The more I studied the problem, the more apparent it became that I WAS WRONG. Gun ownership is NOT THE PROBLEM. Gun ownership by criminals is the problem.

Now, I am sure you agree with me on that to a limited degree at least. So follow on my good man. You have to recognize that when we pbutt laws telling people to turn in their guns, the ONLY ones who do are the - surprise - honest people who would never use a gun to commit a crime. Those who have guns for nefarious purposes - surprise - do not turn them in.

So, what moderates like you, and conservatives who believe in gun ownership need to do is work towards gun laws that work. So far, not one gun law pbutted in this country that restricts ownership has had a positive effect. However, gun laws that require home owners to have a weapon, such as one suburb on the North side of Chicago, HAVE ELIMINATED crime. It was a long time ago, but I believe Morton Grove was involved. One village outlawed all guns, against the consbreastution I might add, while the next one over decided to require all home owners to have one. Crime rose in one, stopped in the other. See if you can figure it out.
