The government as of yet is having a difficult time just taking firearms away from the people. So they are making so many laws and such that mistakes send people to prison. This is to encourage people not to have firearms. Because owning a firearm becomes labyrinth of laws both easily and not so easily known where by the violation of, or a simple slip up will result in serious prison time and-or a felony record. It's about turning good, decent citizens into criminals.
Someone forgot to check to see if there was a round in the gun. However, that's why in a situation like this one never points the gun at another person. It was pointed up. This second round of handling proceedure saved anyone injury. The gun dealer and the customer should be responsible for repairing the damage to the ceiling, roof, or anything else in the path of the bullet and that's it. Thanks to redundency in proper gun handling, the forgoten step was mitigated by the one that was followed.
And eventually people are going to use their arms to keep their land. It's only a matter of time before one of these crooked schemes by a local government results in a violent standoff as a citizen rightfully defends his home with firearms against a bulldozer.
