Britain will be first country to monitor every car journey 3412

And now it's the one-drop neoprohibitionist movement with DUI checkpoints where are papers are run.

You're babbling... why don't you just come right out with it and say you want the state to monitior and control all citizens because someone, somewhere, might cross the line and harm someone else?

Yet, you post something that seems entirely different, and shows a great deal of desire to control other people as much as technology will allow. After all, what is the point of posting a story about a drugged out person committing liquidate and then saying that's why those drugs are illegal?

IMHO, definitely a false analogy. and you seem to know this as well or you wouldn't have used the phrase "the equivalent". Criminals generally chose...

So how do you feel about all the liberty that has been lost due to the war on drugs? Did you know that in the USA, if you carry a large sum of cash (I believe it's $10,000) and a cop finds it, it's automatically siezed as illegal drug profits and you have to wage a court battle to get your money back and prove it is not?

But you want to buttume everyone is irresponsible, a child of the state and thusly needs to be controlled. The irresponsible don't care about the laws you pbutt. They are irresponsible!

And one-drop neoprohibionist laws are not going to stop them. It's like saying gun laws stop criminals. What does a criminal care if the gun he's going to kill someone with is illegal? He doesn't. What you've accomplished is turning responsible people into criminals for owning a firearm or driving home after having a glbutt of wine with dinner.

The solution is not harm the liberty of responsible people in a fruitless effort in trying to control the irresponsible and criminal. To control them means to treat every citizen as irresponsible and criminal. We become the inmates of a large prison. This is unnacceptable on every level.

When someone cannot control vehicle, charge and imprison them. Do not set up a road block where everyone's papers are run and all citizens are treated as criminals until they can prove otherwise.

The controls you mention will do nothing or next to nothing to solve the problems you want solved but will go far into creating the structure in government that tryanny needs.

Ahh... yes the old arguement that if you don't want to be watched, it's because you are doing something wrong.... Never mind the principles.
