Suit yourself, you will anyway. :-)
Really? And criminals are supposed to be?
Probably at least as good as you have had, but I saw no mention of trying to protect criminals.:-)
Do you think that a likely outcome?
I don't necessarily read all previous posts in a thread before replying to one of them. Remember that I only just recently joined the group. How far back to you expect me to go?
If you think so I won't bother to try to argue with you.
MFFY du jourAs long as I'm posting MFFY tales, here's one that got me Monday. ------------------------- A little too much ice on Crystal...
Perhaps, but I probably won't be around to see it. I sincerely doubt that I will be around in 30 or 40 years time.
Some have agreed with you, others might think you wrong but are reluctant to challenge you on the issue.
I have no idea whether you are right or wrong, actually. I don't know what your local, county or state police are doing on such roadblocks, but I have no particular reason to believe that you are an authority on practices in the other 49 states of the USA.
A bit easier for me to tell you what happens in New South Wales as we only have state cops involved. Note that I don't claim to tell you what happens elsewhere in Australia, yet you claim to be an authority on what is happening in the 50 states of the USA.
Do you even know the love and drug laws of all of the states. They do vary rather widely, you know. Or should know, anyway. Perhaps you don't. I would find that easy to believe.
Do you really think that the Gov't of Australia...or any Gov't for that matter... gives a poo about what you or I think?
If you check with your local shrink about "paranoia" don't forget to ask about "delusions of grandeur" :-)
They are not happening here as far as I know, and I cannot see them being introduced in my probable lifetime.
Well, I don't fear the government, as that is like fearing rest. There is nothing I can do if the government wants to spy on me, and neither can you. Take my word for it.
Perhaps I can do something about businesses and corporations spying on me, and I do it.
If you want to identify yourself as one of the "intellectually challenged", who am I to argue? :-)
Since you don't live here, how can you possibly say that and expect to be believed?
Dunno. Haven't lived in China. All I can tell you is that it doesn't work that way here.
Smart Move by LAFD DriverOne spring in Atlanta, I had all my windows open in stopped traffic, I was on the highway, just about even with the end on an on-ramp when I heard the siren of...
I haven't had any trouble controlling horses, cars, trucks, tractors, etc. What is your point? :-)
Have no idea, actually. But when the motorist tries to re-register the vehicle he will need to be insured.
He would be a bloody damned fool not to have third party insurance anyway, as if he has an accident and the judgment goes against him he can be stripped of most buttets to pay for damages.
Do you own your own car and home? Are you willing to risk all this to avoid paying a couple of hundred dollars for third party insurance? If so, you are even dumber than you seem to be.
Yes, I know that is difficult to believe, but take my word for it.:-)
If you drive without third party insurance in Australia, you wouldn't have Buckley's chance of mounting a credible defense in any court of law here.
Nope, am sure that some manage to do, but we have more safeguards against it than the US did when I left there.
Yes, but we do our best to cope with same. As I have pointed out earlier, if you take your car in for an annual inspection you don't have to pay that particular garage to rectify it.
I would normally check my vehicle over before I even took it in for an annual inspection. However, suppose for the sake of argument I apply the brakes on the way and a brake light bulb burns out.
The mechanic inspecting the vehicle will notice this and call it to my attention before he even fills out the inspection certificate. Do you think I panic on this and ask him for a quote to replace it?
Nope, I carry spare bulbs and a screwdriver and can do it on the spot.
Out of curiosity, can you tell me why you think other Americans stupid? Especially those who have coped with problems that you may not have coped with?
Sure, there are dishonest people in all countries and cultures. Is this really news to you? Am not telling you this at all. Just that we probably have more safeguards than the US does.
Do try to remember that I grew up there. AFIK, the US still allows consumer ads which would be totally illegal here and probably in the UK as well.

Smart Move by LAFD DriverI just witnessed a smart move by a driver of an emergency vehicle of the Los Angeles (City) Fire Department...
Cheers,
