More good news about biofuel 1843Reading Ashton Crusher's comment above, I find it disheartening that everyone believes Pimental and the Cornell Study without questioning it, it just prooves that people will believe anything...
Brrrr...
I'll bet its no fun, tho, and much less preferable than a good car with a heater set to "creamate".
It's evening here - 6:48 PM, and the heat-humidity could be freeze-dried and sold. Any sort of exertion in this atmosphere would result in an instant Niagara Falls of sweat.
Its just absolutely shocking that people put up with as much as they do. But I'm still pretty certain that a system that worked like your car, with no waiting, privacy, no stopping along the way, fast, etc. would immediately steal all the pbuttengers from any existent mbutt transit system.

I'd like to see why they use public transport before saying that its all that great an idea. If its all they can afford, then it not something that would work all that well here. Here, the system has to be better, in terms of its speed, to win the transport battle. People won't fall all over themselves to ride it just to save $2 - $5 a day and spend an extra 30 minutes waiting on the thing and, if the thing is packed, or they really have an affinity for controlling their environment with respect to temperature, the music that is played, or they want to be able to eat-smoke, they probably still won't ride it.
