On the busy M5 in L2 at night a few years ago, I pbutted over what looked like a red patch of road, with a bundle of purple coloured rags in the midst of it. My first thought was that it might just have been something that had fallen off the back of a lorry. Like everyone else I was on dipped headlights and you only catch the briefest of glimses of the road as you pbutt over it. It was some seconds before I realised that it might well have been what was left of what might once have been a body. Half a mile down the road, on the hard shoulder a group of cars and their drivers had pulled in and were having a confab, which further confirmed that it might of been a body.
Whatever it was, there was certainly not very much left of it. My mobile was flat, so I left it buttuming the group on the hard shoulder was reporting it. It was just past a bridge going over the M5, so might well have been a 'jumper'.
