Hello Mark Foster, Is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can hear me. Is there anyone at home? perhaps coz he's such an anal ****? -- Steve Leyland mhm32x16 Smeeter#24...

Hmm the whole idea of disabled parking is a joke anyhow in this country. My best friend had to have a leg amputated a few years ago due to an accident with a fork lift truck.

My friend is in his 30's & chooses to dress in jeans, trainers & rock band t shirts. Because he uses an artificial limb he has some mobility but obviously these things do chafe & long walks are difficult.

Phillip Kyle do you really expect an old pikey netKKKop like harry to be able to drive properly? -- Steve...

However whenever he has gone to use the parking spaces allocated to disabled users in supermarkets & especially motorway service stations, he has come up against some unbelievable abuse particular from the elderly who seem to think it is their absolute god given right that these spaces are designed for use by the over 60's only.

Here is an example...

In the summer we where travelling to London a journey of approx 200 miles. We drove into a service station on the M1, as it was a hot day my friend was wearing shorts so his artificial leg could clearly be seen. As we drove into the disabled spot nearest the door an elderly gentleman began to wave his fist at us & shouting abuse as his car drew alongside ours. He then parked in a disabled spot further away from the door.

We went into the services bought what we needed then sat in the car & ate our lunch. Sure enough the elderly gentleman made a bee line for us & started to vent his anger at having to park further from the door because we where parked in a disabled spot...........

As my friend opened his door the look on the elderly guys face was a picture when he spotted the artificial leg ;-) & then with tail between his legs walked of without even an apology.

As my friend says he would rather be like everyone else & use the normal parking spaces but unfortunately at busy times the only option is to use the disabled parking & face the abuse from the elder generation.

Regards

GaZZa
