Saudi Arabia says PLENTY OF OIL
Yup - there is no oil shortage. The huge rise in prices has been engineered by oil-men bush and cheney. THATS A FACT. Top Saudi Says Kingdom Has Plenty of Oil June 09, 2005...

I buy made in the USA, europe, or japan if I can. It's strictly a quality-labor-environmental regulation thing. I am not rabid 'buy USA' type person, but I don't want to pay 1st world prices for 3rd world goods.

The US automakers and UAW only have themselves to blame. Japan and Europe have labor regulations and have to pay decent wage just like here in the USA. In fact they build many vehicles here in the USA. Strictly this is fair compebreastion for the most part.

The problem isn't made in china is an import. the problem is it's made with low paid labor, low quality, no environmental protections, etc and so forth. Yet, when it arrives here, the price is often just under what the made in USA item is. Sometimes higher. I am not going to pay first world prices when it's not first world labor and first world protection for the environment and most importantly, first world quality if I have the choice.

(a recent purchase I had no real choice unless I wanted to buy a much higher end model of the product type I was looking at, and I didn't want or need something like that, I just needed the simple basic type, which were all made in china regardless of brand)

There is a lot of that perception too....
