I beleive they have special ID to leave in the car to avoid such problems.
Cop Dirty Tricks 3079Couldn't think of any, huh? The crime was already committed.Towing is called for per the law. I believe it's...
Same here;special ID.
Cop Dirty Tricks 3078Maybe they do, maybe they don't, and maybe the guy doesn't have time to dig it out of the glovebox. Yep. Or no...
The car still has to be towed from where it does not belong.
This is kind of a big stretch;the firefighter could just call it in,as he wastes time investigating on his own, while the firetruck could already be on it's way, saving time.
Road Construction Mania 3080Pooh Bear Duh, it's better to get your facts before you post. Roads are poorly constructed so sometimes heavy...
Now,do you believe these "scenarios" are th e NORM,or special exceptions? Because of these exemptions, then ALL vehicles should be left alone? Is that what you think should happen?
If he's undercover, why would he BLOW his cover by parking illegally? He should expect to get his car towed, like anybody else would. It would be suspicious that his car DIDNT get towed or ticketed.
Remember that these are civil infractions, not felonies. Not even a moving violation. Rather obvious crimes, too. There is no need for proof on the LEO's part. He just has to appear and attest that he saw the violation. He has the authority to have the vehicle towed,by law.
Because they are late to the scene,a 3rd party to the crime. It's not like a illegally parked car,an OBVIOUS,clear violation.
It's not proper to allow such violations, either. Why make them misdemeanor crimes if you are not going to enforce them? Simply put,you are just trying to avoid the results of an illegal act. If you do not think it should be illegal, then lobby to have the law changed.
If you don't want your car towed, don't leave it where it's not legal. That's VERY simple. And if you don't understand that, you should not be driving, nor out on your own without a responsible adult.
