Steve Firth Still an easy claim to make, FWIW I believe you, still doesn't justify statements such as that below. Anyway, so you transit Belgium several times a year, couple of hours each way, always the same motorway, probably not even stopping, hardly an in-depth study of the place.
And within those boundaries too, eg. Switzerland and Belgium.
No, of course not, but certain parts of those countries are culturally very similar, leading to similar driving styles.
There you go again, which Swiss ? which Germans? Try hopping back and forth across the border between say Basel and Bregenz, if it wasn't for the number-plates you would be hard pushed to tell who came from which side. A slight step back from "Belgians are terminally clueless". If you are referring to accident statistics, then according to these an injury accident in Belgium are the same as in the UK. If you are drawing on your own observations then I still fail to see how you can come to such a sweeping conclusion. I prefer Martins take on the country, a reasoned and detailed account from somebody who has lived there for 5 years, most of which I agree with.
Yes you do, see above.
Hmmm....politically correct? Suggesting that Belgium is a deeply divided country, would be regarded as incitement to civil unrest in certain circles.
