Where does it say in my post I've just come back from a week in Belgium?
I was comparing the amount of scary incidents that might be witnessed in a typical week there to equate with a whole year's worth in the UK. In this, I'm sure many will agree.
Incidentally, I'm glad you had a chuckle. I'm sure most would realise the tongue in cheek nature of my post.
If you define better or worse as meaning how safe or otherwise different systems are, check the stats for road rests and serious injuries for various European countries.
Where in my post did I mention "the whole country, its road network and *all* its drivers"? Had I written what you have stated, I would consider that arrogant.
Cruise Control dangerous 5261Uno Hoo! I use mine a huge amount on the motorway and also in some 40 , 50 and 60 mph limits where I know there are cameras as it makes keeping a constant speed much...
So are there different laws for the two cultures? The fact is that Belgium was very late in introducing a driving test and hence there are many drivers *of both cultures* on their roads who have had no formal training.
In the context of this thread, it would be more entertaining for someone who had not done most of their driving here to comment. Any takers?
