Cruise Control dangerous 5262

I am well aware that it was my fault that I also didn't then adjust to the fact that there was cruise control and apply the brake to cancel the cruise control. No body drives perfectly 100% of the time (even though there are some people on this group who seem to believe this is a possibilty). When I did realise the way the cruise control was changing my driving for the worse I stopped using it.

By the law of averages I know I'm not the best driver in the world, so there there is a proportion of the population who would adjust to the cruise control better than me and not result in the degraded driving that I experienced.

I also believe I'm not the worst driver in the world so there is also a proportion of the population who would have reacted the same way I did. Even worse, there will be a further proportion who allow the cruise control to degrade their driving and either don't realise or continue to use it.

So overall I believe the existance of cruise control lowers road safety because of this. -- Replace the fish with my first name to reply
