Maybe so, if you see it only in black and white, but it might not always be quite so clear cut.
Agreed. I feel sure it would be better if more people took an interest in driving, but the type of car they drive seems irrelevant to that.
In what way is it nonsense? It seems to me perfectly valid to make reference to the results I have obtained so far, but that is not to say that things could not be improved.
I am quite willing and able to 'go at it with an open mind' but you are going to have to tell me in what ways things will get better. How do you know what they are like now? In what practical ways is my style inadequate on safety or other grounds?
If I am required to change my ways somebody will need to point to significant shortcomings in my existing style, and it will take more than a bit of fussing over handbrake usage and steering wheel technique to achieve that.
You're beginning to sound too much like Mark Foster for my liking, and until you are willing to change that approach we shall get nowhere, meanwhile let me ask you a straight question:
Cue the Jokes... 330It's also the exact opposite of sense. -- Billy Connolly's 14 things I hate about everybody: 1. People who point at their wrist while asking for the time.... I know where my watch is pal...
Do you consider that you are a better driver than I am, and if you do, please explain the basis for that claim, and you'll have to do better than merely pointing out that you are an IAM member and I am not.
Let me butture you that there are people on these forums for whom I have a good deal of respect, people who explain things rationally without having to ram their expertise down our throats with this constant urge to feel superior. They are people I can listen to and work with. I would like to feel I can number you among their ranks, but at the moment I do not. Sorry Steve but that's the way it is.
Best wishes all, Dave.
