Mike G presented the following explanation :
There are several errors I try to make obvious, to those making the error. Amongst them....
1. The right turn corner cutter who encroaches onto the wrong side of the road he-she is turning into, I tackle by as near as I can when waiting to turn right - pulling all the way forward to the line and fully to the right of my space. It often forces a corner cutter to modify their line at the last minute, though some day they may learn it is quicker and safer not to take the risk - HGV's etc. excepted of course, for whom I will hold well back.
2. If drivers fail to give way to on coming traffic when they need to cross onto the wrong side of the road to pbutt a parked vehicle (and other similar situations), if it is safe to do so I will force them to a slow down or even stop and reverse out of the way.
3. Those drivers who travel a yard or so past the give way line entering a major road, before even looking to see what might be pbutting on the major road - If I can, I will make an exaggerated pull out to avoid them and slow down as I go past combined with a glare. This business of failing to stop at the line could take out a cyclist riding close to the kerb.
Cutting Up Why 1668Look at it from the other persons POV, with a slightly different speed. In medium heavy traffic, on a 2 lane road, L2 can be full of people doing 80. Someone else is...
