Considering the traveling in unfamiliar areas that I've been doing recently, I've picked up Delorme's Street Atlas 2006 & Earthmate GPS LT-20 for roughly $100. I'm relatively impressed, but I'm getting tired of having to deal with a laptop in the pbuttenger seat. I see that Delorme offers a "companion" package called Street Atlas 2006 Hand Held, which I'm buttuming will work with my Palm Tungsten T3. I also see that Delorme has a bluetooth GPS device which hopefully will work with myT3, and I'm considering purchasing the BlueTooth GPS & HH package to compliment my navigation system.
What I'm hoping to do is lay out my routes on my laptop, then off load them as well as maps of the areas I'll be in to my Palm T3. I then want to use the T3 and BlueTooth GPS to perform the navigational tasks now performed by the laptop and LT-20. I'd also like to use the BlueTooth GPS to capture my journey, and then move the log file back to the laptop when I'm on-site or in my room.
Does anyone have any experience with this type of set-up, and can you offer any comments, criticisms, or complaints?
TIA!
