Diesels 5117Silk Why is there alwyas this "performance low down" argument? I have two cars, a 1.5...
Mine ate three clutches in 80k miles - something to do with the master cylinder causing it not to engage fully. Failed completely once - still drove it home from newcastle to hull...
Just clean it - mine had the dark grey cloth and dash - always cleaned up nice. I always try to get dark dashboards as I hate the internal reflection off the screen
Heh - the rear suspension is worse!
Vectra?
They're a "charming" car, if you value ride quality and refinement over outandout performance then they charm you into living with the many faults - cramped footwell, small interior, comprimised boot (with the premium sound system), reliabilty issues, odd relationship between cruise, clutch and horn etc. I mean it's got a dedicated dash button for Fahernheit Celcius selection - how British!
but it worked
Indeed. And the exhaust will fall off without warning. I still want one, but it'll be a V8, not a namby-pamby diesel. I think that in three years a V8 should be a good investment - as they appear to lose 50% first year...
Yours must be a very early Cowley built one - it'll have had black skirts and bumper bottom strips - Longbridge ones are body coloured. I'm told that the Longbridge ones are better buttembled than the Cowley ones. Mine (V reg, Cowley) was one of the first to have rover stamped on the locking wheel nuts.
Diesels 5116Well, yesm, it is getting on a bit like all out pool cars. But this...
(sad eh!)
