Sorry, the accident every other six minutes that one can hear about by listening to KNX 1070 AM's traffic reports shows that it's a VERY GOOD...

-----

This is a perfect example of being right for the wrong reason. Slowness does cause the jams in SoCal but not for the reason you think. It's the constant "cut 'em off" lane changing by people trying to go faster than the flow of traffic, not the "slower" drivers.

It doesn't take long either. Nimrods force their way into a space causing the person "cut-off" to use their brakes. This causes an immediate chain reaction in the traffic behind because of the standard following distance of 1.1 car lengths. 12 or 20 lane changes like that occur in a mile and a few moments later it's the ol' stop and go. Then, when it's go time people accelerate like they're out of their f***ing minds to begin the race to catch up with the traffic that's pulling away. When they all reach the same point of the road roughly simultaneously, (since nobody can accelerate forever or I'm sure they would try... or at least until their tires overheated and shredded)... the whole thing starts all over again, often with some rear-enders thrown into the mess to f*** things up further and it all gets worse.

You should view your traffic from my POV once. I see literally dozens of unecessary lane changes per mile... and I can only remember one instance of that behavior by a slower driver.

And the entire "slower drivers are the MFFY's" atbreastude that permeates this group is simply hilarious. YOU want to be "first"... they're taking their f***ing time! Misinterpretation of that driving behavior into MFFY-ism could only be accomplished by the insane. If you want to be in front of them all you have to do is leave a minute earlier. Problem solved. -----
