Do You Think The Lesson Was Learned 3129

Obstructing traffic is illegal in many areas, and probably thus wrong.

It's still irresponsible. On the local news they had an CHP officer answering questions about speeding, and the reporter said something about how slower is always better. The officer responded with a comment about how if the vehicle or driver can't safely keep up with traffic, they probably should look for other ways to move.

I wish that the Other Guy was as good a driver as so many often describe him, but after being nearly run off the road by a tow truck today that didn't know what lane he needed to be in (despite ample signage) I just can't believe it. He swerved in front of me at about 25 in a 50, if I'd had something larger than an econobox with well-maintained brakes I couldn't have avoided him. No turn signals, no warning, just swerving for a left turn lane he "didn't see" or some other BS excuse.

In heavy traffic, between light timing and not being an MFFY, it can be difficult to get out behind a sloth. Too many cars in the lane you want to get into with too much of a speed differertial caused by the sloth going so far under the speed of traffic.

So anyone else, even people who stop at green lights, is always right? Bullpoo.

Every day I encounter people who nearly cause a collision, if they're that lucky, because they ignore No U Turn signs, they run a red light, or they swerve across multiple lanes because they weren't paying enough attention in the first place.

Larry Bud No, the term is "obstructing" traffic. So if you could find the code in your state I'd be interested... When...

In most accidents I've seen, one driver is very clearly at fault. And I was licensed as an EMT, and worked for a company in upstate New York.

Go ahead and try it, first cop who sees that will ticket you for obstructing traffic. If you can't handle driving, take a bus.

There's a line where a driver is a danger to others on the road, and you appear to want to forgive them. Instead be happy that some police agencies are stationing troopers in trucks to watch for drivers who cut off semis.

Do you really think a problem goes away on its own? I'm not advocating ramming a car in most situations, but going out on the roads without realizing that you're sharing them with others, and thus have an obligation to co-operate in order to make society work is dangerous to yourself, your pbuttengers, and others.

Not every sloth is an evil son of a unpleasant woman, but there are sloths that intentionally slow down and pace gravel trucks while flipping you off just because you tried to pbutt them at the speed limit a mile before.

Not all sloths are dangerous, but neither are all psychotics. It doesn't mean you shouldn't treat the criminally insane. See also LBMHBF.
