Drinking & driving

Silk It isn't the source of *all* road safety ills, but if you look at the statistics...

Nothing, I drink Coke, Pepsi, orange and lemonade etc. If I'm having a meal out I might have a shandy bbutt, 1-2 pint bottle which has just about sod all alcohol, if it's available, but that's it.

If I'm going to the pub I prefer not to drive if I can help it, if it's a party ditto. If I'm going to be driving some time next day I might drink a couple of pints, tops. If I'm driving early next day (My work starts at 6 am) say before 10 am, I don't drink at all. If I've had a couple the night before I prefer to eat at least a couple of meals and postpone driving until the afternoon at the earliest, or mostly until the next day.

When I have a drink I generally get drunk on only three or so pints so I tend not to drink much anyway. I know that alcohol affects me more than most people I know so I keep away from it.

David Knowles If you had two pints of "Stella" beer, which seems to be 5.2% alcohol by volume, that's equivalent to 2.08...

It's no great loss, and some of the things you see when you're sober whilst everyone else is drunk, or getting there, are astounding.
