I think we've come to the end of the road on this topic but one final viewpoint! Throughout this debate I have been...

Was clean licence until two weeks ago, now have 4 points for alleged 56 on a 40mph dual carriageway. Back in court next week (won't comment until afterwards in public - email me tim at timkemp dot net if you want details) for alleged 39 in an alleged temp 30. Now have another NIP on desk for a 54 in 40 (same location as first one).

So now, here I am, safe, high mileage driver who's only every had two previous speeding convictions - (SP30 in my XR4x4, fair cop, SP50 for 85mph on the M1 on a quiet sunday afternoon - harsh) and now I'm in danger of going from 0 to 10 points or more in three months.

Needless to say I am now (a) avoiding the location indicated in the two I have recently been copped for - it's a popular site and many people I know have been done there, even people I wouldn't expect to be exceeding the speed limit - I'm convinced it's a poor location for the camera and it is improperly operated. Magistrate says no....
