That's incorrect, if your car was used in a ramraid you are not obliged to tell the police who was driving it.
You cannot say, "I accept that bit,
I don't accpet your baisc premise that I am obliged to tell the police who was using my car for any reason aprt from a gatso
Incorrect. I have a right of silence ( although being erroded) if you as a ploice officer ask me "Your car was seen involved in a bank raid , who was driving it?"
My answer could be
" "
Or it could be
" I don't know"
I am not obliged to tell you any more ( especially if I don't know)
I will then NOT be charged with anything relating to my answr or non asnwer
With a Gatos it's different.
Again the owner could say
" "
Leaving the Police to prove who was driving, that's not the same with a Gatso.
It is neccesary, but apart from a Gatso there is never any requirment for the owner to say more than " "
