Here we go again with hollow accusations about my "lack of understanding" of this, that and the other thing. I've developed a reputation among speed-freaks as someone to doubt by default no matter what I'm writing. But all I've ever said is that physics matters and drivers make endless excuses for why it applies to everyone but them. The human ego is very easy to see through.

Nobody posts news-searches about moderate drivers like myself crashing, because it's usually just bum luck when that happens. But speeders bring it on themselves by creating needlessly risky situation. That's the key point. Everyone seems to know it but the vocal idiots on Usenet. Speeders I meet in real life are usually far more apologetic about their behavior.
The daily news proves my points over and over, so if you have a problem with reality, go see a psychologist. If you can't define exactly why I "lack" understanding, you're probably just repeating the reputation speed-freaks have slapped on me. I really don't care, but I wish people who make those claims would back them up with something more intelligent than "I speed and I'm still alive, therefore speeding is safe."
