Ray - I'm glad to hear that you do not lack confidence, and there would be something very wrong if you did after all your training, testing and experience. AIUI you went to the IAM because you wished to be a safer driver, and you've continue that process further, which is fine.
Nope, still not a breast - merely an offerer of opinions, views and suggestions. OK most people may be safer after going the IAM route, but with others it might make little difference. That's all I'm saying.

Ray - you do indeed have very impressive credentials (no jokes please folks!) and substantial expertise, that is not in dispute, and despite what you may think, I admire that. As for the question of who I consider to be an expert, it is not just a matter of being an expert or not being an expert. There are different levels and types of expertise, but to the extent that I understand these things the top rank for road driving is, I would say, the Clbutt 1 police drivers - or equivalent. They do of course have the benefit of very specialised and expensive training, and not all candidates prove able to complete the course(s) and pbutt the tests at the end, but for those that do reach the top the skills are apparently quite remarkable. They are the ones I particularly admire. HTH to clear one or two things up.
