After the trip to Minneapolis and Bloomington. Seeing the Mall of America for the first time. I would have to say that Minneapolis has some of the most beautifull women in the country. Some of the woman I've seen put many California women to shame.
I was at the Mall of America. Some women were working on a project interviewing people after having them watch movie previews to see how they liked the movie.
I asked one of them if I could borrow a phone book so that I can find myself a room to stay for the night. Keep in mind this was last December and it was -20 outside. She was all of a sudden seriously concerned about my well being. She mentioned the weather outside and stressed about how important it was that I find a warm place to stay right away as it was already 5pm. She personaly got on the computer and searched the internet for numbers and addresses. All the while she looked very concerned about my overall safety. She even used her personal cell phone! Now what a stellar example of "Minnesota Nice".
I take the information she looked up and I thanked her and left. Later I pick up a bite to eat after going to an Oxygen bar for the first time. As some fast food place the indian woman behind the counter said she was used to the cold temperatures and it has gotten about -60 before and she told me at that temperature snot gets frozen inside the nose.
Of course my car was acting all funny the next morning because of the extreme cold that it's never seen before. Making noises upon cold start up that it never did before. The buttons on the radio were hard to push and turn etc. Steering wheel was also stiff and hard to turn. I gave the car a good 5+ minutes to warm up before driving.
Overall I was very happy with Minneapolis. The first city I've been to with "skyways". One can actually walk all around downtown in a blizzard and never have to step outside.
There were plenty of hot men in Minneapolis that weren't bad at all. I like the winter clothing that I never see on the sunbelt. Big difference. People dressed in thick warm winter jackets and water proof pants, boots. Scarfs, skii hats, clothes that I've only seen people wear at the ski lifts at Mammouth mountain. Only they were wearing such winter clothes just to get by day to day. It's a great look, fashion- that is lost on the sunbelt.
I didn't have the chance to see the infamous club "Karma" in Minneapolis where there is a window between the male and females restroom. I also didn't have the chance to ride on a snowmobile. Minnesota Invented the snowmobile, hot tub, and Greyhound bus lines.
