I'm not the one raving on and on about the unfairness of congestion charging. And I live close to the area. And am happy to pay it on the odd occasion where I *really* need to take my car there - rather than use the very efficient public transport, which also happens to be faster for near every journey than a car. Of course, I'm not worried about travelling with my fellow Londoners in a bus, tube or train. I leave that fear to others who for some reason are scared to try it.

To me, it's about what the residents want. And those residents include most businesses in the area.

So you want to relieve congestion in cities without demolishing all those buildings and parks etc that make either them a pleasant place to work in or visit, and replace them with roads and car parks? Makes you Mad JNugnet? Or do you have some magical answer?

Difficult for who? I live here - you don't. And I - and my fellow residents are happy. Why should I care if it makes things 'difficult' for you? Others in your position - ie, visitors to London for whatever reason seem to manage OK - so perhaps you need to think on?
