I've a cd "How to Pbutt the Driving Test". Intended to help a new driver in the family. The Hazard Perception stuff requires you to click the mouse every time you spot a potential hazard in video clips. I was clicking away merrily and thought I had them all. I had- and loads that weren't in it's remit. If you click every time something moves it tells you not to be silly and cancels the exercise. There's so much that's subjective. Obviously a kid skipping along the pavement towards a zebra crossing is a potential hazard because he's likely to run across, but a vehicle entering a dual carriageway from a slip road might be- or might not. In my view that's a potential hazard but the test exercise doesn't think so. With my Clbutt 1 Advanced (many years ago) I was enveigled to join the IAM who welcomed me to a seat on their committee once my driving had been 'observed' by their senior guy. What a joke. I started off with the full chickenpit drill, static and moving brake tests and he told me they don't bother with all that. After I had made a turn into a major road he asked me what was the last road sign before the turn. I informed him that I wasn't too bothered about history, more concerned about what was happening now and what was coming up. DaveK.
