The BMW: - After I got out of my car a woman stopped and said "did that BMW hit you and then leave?" I didn't know what the heck she was talking about so I asked her to pull around to the parking lot so I could get her name and number and use her as a witness if need be.
The woman said that a BMW swerved out of the middle lane into my lane. hit the car that was crossing through the other three lanes.
Since this was mentioned when I drew out the map to give to my insurance agency I aproximated where the BMW was in the drawing for them.
State Farm: I spent Monday morning in the office at State Farm showing them what had happened etc. To make a long story short they agree, I was not to yield and in their eyes was not at fault. They have no idea what to think about the ticket.
The Ticket: I spoke with a HPD officer today. His only buttumption is that I was ticketed because the other party said I came out of the middle lane and hit them. Since this isn't the truth and I can easily dispute it with pictures and a video that I have taken I should be able to get the ticket dismissed.
However, "failure to maintain one lane" can be applied to anything. Even if your body has gone through the front windshield and you can no longer control the car you can still be ticketed. As he said "dead people get tickets every day".
The other side of the story: I agree with whoever kept saying this over and over again in their posts. You all ARE only getting one side of the story. I'm still trying to figure out what their side would be, so if anyone can make up what they could possibly say that would accurately make me at fault then I would really like to know so that I can prepare myself for it.

The Accident Report: Once again someone else posted about getting the report. I have called HPD and they said that it can take up to 9 days for the paper to process and with Thanksgiving being around the corner I probably won't be able to get a hold of it until next Friday. When I have this in hand I will post what it said to those that are curious, because trust me I am too.
